Here are two images from Chloe’s 6 month photo shoot (and by “photo shoot” I mean literally 5 minutes in our guest bathroom in between her crying for much of the entire day – haha) Oh how I love her.

I cannot believe my little Chloe (lovingly referred to in our home as “bitty”) is already 5 months old! Everyone told me that the time would fly by. I have tried so hard to soak up every minute of it and still the days only seem to pass by faster and faster! Part of trying to capture it all has been taking monthly pictures of her on her b-day. Nothing amazing, just some fun shots so that we can look back at how she has grown. Here are a few from her 5 month shoot
Thanks for indulging me

As adorable as I think my little girl is…I promise this is not just another excuse to show her off….well, not entirely:) Being a new mom has opened my eyes to a few things about children’s photography that I had not really taken into consideration before. It has also given me some new ideas for the style of shoots that might mean the most to a mom. After 9 months of pregnancy, few moms, myself included, are excited to hop in front of the camera, but we dont want to be left out of the picture entirely…no pun intended
I wanted pictures that capture those sweet daily moments that I get with Chloe, while not needing to find an outfit that fits (me that is) and hope that she cooperates at a studio! What I want to offer moms is the opportunity to do a “Mommy & Me” shoot in the comfort of your own home…in your own bed even…that captures the very natural, laid back and beautiful bond between you and your little one. These images were captured with the help of my sweet husband Graham and will hopefully show you what I have in mind for this style of shoot! let me know what you think!

It really is a good business partnership…Ashlee supplies me with all of my graphic design needs (and lets be honest – I could not design even a butter label if someone held a gun to my head) and in exchange, I make sure that her walls stay full of updated family pictures! This was a mini-shoot (lasting all of about 15 minutes) because when you combine a two year old and a dad who is not fond of having his picture taken….I have learned that I better make it quick. haha. So – fortunately, this is such a stinkin good looking family that it didn’t take much on my part. We also snapped a few pictures of Drew since he just turned two – although he wasn’t his most smiley self, I guess what we got to see was his more pensive GQ side. Love it!
